Common side effects observed while medicating with lomustine are nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, mouth/lip sores and hair loss may occur. Usually these effects disappear within a few days. Inform your doctor if these conditions persist or get worse. There are several serious side effects which must be informed to the doctor right away if observed like confusion, swelling of lower legs/feet, vision changes etc. Get medical help on urgent basis if your feel or observed any of the rare but serious allergic side effects like stomach/abdominal pain that doesn't go away, black stools, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, yellowing eyes/skin, dark urine signs of kidney problems, cough, chest pain, difficult/painful breathing, rash, itching/swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
